So many coding projects start out with proclaiming hello to the world! Jamstack as it turns out is no different. Ever since I heard about serverless tech and Cloudflare workers at Blackhat, I’ve been curious about setting up a static site for my professional blog. I’ve spent enough time administrating traditional LAMP stacks I felt I was ready for something new, challenging and exciting. Later on I found that I was not alone in using serverless to deploy static sites and that Cloudflare simplified the process with their pages offering. After much research and inner reflection :) I finally decided on Hugo and Cloudflare (there are a lot of new ways to host Jamstack these days but I always seem to come back to Cloudlfare possibly because I have been with them since the beginning). Writing my blog in vim (spellcheck FTW :set spell spelllang=en_us) does have a certain appeal as I recollect coding my first website in notepad. Onward to brushing up on my markdown, another blast from my past!
